After being teased by Gran Turismo director Kazunori Yamauchi earlier this week, Gran Turismo Sport’s next update launches later today and introduces the historic Goodwood Motor Circuit to the franchise for the first time ever.

Update 1.39 will be released for Gran Turismo Sport on May 30, 2019. In this video, we introduce some of the content featured in this update including the historic British racing track the Goodwood Motor Circuit, which joins the series for the very first time.

Located in the suburbs of Chichester in Southern England, the 'Goodwood Motor Circuit' is a historic racing course that has played host to many illustrious racing drivers. The course encapsulates the Chichester/Goodwood Airport, and unlike many modern circuits, is surrounded by idyllic scenery.

The course is notable as a high-speed course, featuring a number of mid and high-speed corners. With its high full-throttle percentage and a good mix of elevation changes, this course is sure to see some truly thrilling racing action.

In addition to the new Goodwood Circuit, Update 1.39 also adds 11 brand-new GT League rounds for players to complete:

■ Beginner League
2 additional rounds will be added to the 'MINI Challenge'.

■ Amateur League
2 additional rounds will be added to the 'Nostalgic Car Festival'.
2 additional rounds will be added to the 'Supra Legend'.
2 additional rounds will be added to the 'Super Formula Championships'.

■ Professional League
2 additional rounds will be added to the 'F1500 Championship'.

■ Endurance League
1 additional round will be added to the 'Porsche Cup'.
