Gran Turismo Sport Producer Confirms More Cars and Tracks Are Coming
New content appears to be in the works for Gran Turismo Sport, with Gran Turismo Producer Kazunori Yamauchi confirming that more cars and tracks will be coming to the sim track racer.
The news comes from a recent interview Yamauchi had with German site 4players during the recent Audi Vision GT reveal event. During the interview, Yamauchi discussed the future of the franchise going forward as well as the possibility of a dynamic weather system being added into Gran Turismo Sport, however confirmed that the current car and track lists will be expanded upon with additional tracks and vehicles.
For the past six months, Gran Turismo Sport has been receiving free content in the form of new cars, tracks and races month after month. The most recent March update added thirteen new vehicles - including the Nissan Skyline R33 GTR, Aston Martin DB11 and BMW M3 Sport Evolution - as well as fan-favourite Tsukuba Circuit track and three new GT League series events.
Yamauchi-San promised and successfully added a total of 50 new cars to Gran Turismo Sport by March 2018, causing concerns if the title may not receive more content after March, which is reassuring to hear is not the case.
In terms of what we may expect, GTPlanet reports that the GR Supra, which was revealed at last month's 2018 Geneva Motor Show, will be coming to Gran Turismo Sport this month. In addition, a Lancia 037 Rally Car might also be coming to the game if a now-deleted instagram photo from Girardo & Co is to be believed.
While no new content updates have been officially confirmed to release this month, we will be sure to keep you updated on all of the latest Gran Turismo Sport news.
