Rumor: PS4 Exclusive God of War Release Date Leaked by PlayStation Store
The latest title in the critically-acclaimed God of War franchise currently has a release window of "Early 2018" as of E3 2017, but it seems an official release date announcement is right around the corner.
Spotted by several eagle-eyed PlayStation fans, both the Chile and United States PlayStation Stores have updated their pre-order descriptions for God of War, most notably with a release date of 22nd March 2018.
God of War has had a history with March release dates, the original title on PS2 launching on this exact same day back in 2005. God of War II, III and Ascension also had mid-March releases, so a March 22nd release isn't out of the realm of possibilty.
With both The Game Awards and PlayStation Experience kicking off later this week, we can all but confirm that the official release date for God of War will be announced at either one of these events, which will most likely be accompanied by a brand new gameplay or cinematic trailer to kick up some more hype.
When an official announcement is made, we will be sure to update you on it - as well as any big news that may be coming out of The Game Awards and PlayStation Experience.
