Ghost Games have released a new trailer for Need for Speed Payback, introducing a look at the world of Fortune Valley, including tons of new cars, locations and street racing clubs scattered around the world for players to challenge. The trailer gives us a look at various short gameplay clips, such as drag racing and cop chases. You can check out BlackPanthaa's video analysis on the trailer down below.

Last week when the trophies/achievements list was revealed, we speculated what the 'Roaming Racers' might be. Today it seems we know what they may be. Revealed in the trailer are two new clubs; Riot Club and League 73. The Riot Club have a focus for drag events, while League 73 have a focus for off-road events. Considering the trophy/achievement list listed 'four roaming racers bosses', it seems as if two other clubs are yet to be revealed, and completing events against these four clubs will unlock an event to go head-to-head with each clubs leader.

The trailer also features an absolute plethora of unannounced cars, both returning from Need for Speed (2015) and new as a whole. The list of cars we managed to spot throughout the trailer is as follows:

  • Plymouth HEMI Cuda
  • Lamborghini Huracan
  • Chevrolet Corvette Z06 (2006)
  • Audi R8 V10 Plus
  • McLaren P1
  • Porsche 918 Spyder
  • Honda S2000
  • Maxda RX-7
  • Mazda MX-5 (2015)
  • Nissan GT-R
  • Nissan 180sx
  • Nissan Silvia S15
  • Honda Civic Type-R (1996)
  • Chevrolet Camaro Z28
  • Ford Mustang Boss 302
  • Ford Mustang Fox Body
  • Volkswagen Golf GTI (1976)
  • Subaru Impreza WRX STI (2010)
  • Ford Model 18
  • Porsche 911 Carrera S (1993)
  • Subaru BRZ

We also got our first look at Need for Speed Payback's map, showcasing various locations around what is the largest map in Need for Speed history. Screenshots of the full map and some of the new cars spotted throughout the trailer can be found below.

I don't know about you, but my hype level for Need for Speed Payback is through the roof after seeing this new trailer. 20+ new cars previously unconfirmed for the game have been shown off, including my personal favourites from Need for Speed (2015) - the Silvia S15, Subaru BRZ and Camaro Z28. It's great to also see new hyper cars such as the P1 and 918 Spyder back in a Need for Speed game, as well as new cars like the Audi R8 V10 Plus and old school muscle like the Plymouth Hemi Cuda.

With Need for Speed Payback releasing in six weeks time for Deluxe Edition purchasers, Payback is shaping up to be the most diverse Need for Speed game yet. What new car are you excited to drive and where in Fortune Valley? Drifting around desert roads in an RX-7, evading the cops in a McLaren P1 through city streets or blasting down a long stretch of road in a drag-built Camaro? And what do you think of the new street racing clubs and the size of Fortune Valley? Be sure to let us know!
