Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown New Trailer, Details and Map Revealed, Launches September 2022
After months of anticipation, KT Racing and Nacon have revealed new details about the long-awaited Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown - including a new trailer, map location, release date and returning features.
Revealed during the Nacon Connect presentation, KT Racing debuted a brand-new cinematic CGI trailer revealing TDU Solar Crown will take place in a 1:1 scale map of Hong Kong and will launch on September 22nd, 2022 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.

The trailer highlighted various areas of Hong Kong players will visit, including prominent gambling and nightclub raves which could confirm clubbing as a new social aspect to the casino from previous games, as well as unique locations including off-road beaches, tight neon-lit streets, condensed cargo docks and overhanging highways.
The trailer and teaser from KT Racing’s Twitter showcased many unseen cars, alongside the previously-teased Aston Martin and Range Rover, that will feature in the game including:

KT Racing Creative Director Alain Jarniou (former creative director for TDU1 and TDU 2) and Game Director Amaury Beyris spoke in length about Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown during the showcase, revealing new details about the game, its focus and what players will be doing.
Jarniou confirmed TDU Solar Crown is ‘first and foremost a Test Drive Unlimited game’ and will be an MMO at 1:1 scale. The map of Hong Kong is considered an urban jungle filled with skyscrapers, luxury cars etc. in its large open city, but features environments such as forests, mountains, marshes and beaches.
Beyris revealed that besides competing in the Solar Crown Tournament, there are two clans facing off - The Streets and The Sharps - where players will join a clan and try climb up the ladder within their chosen clan. As a group, your clan will try to overthrow the other clan, evolving with their clan as the game progresses.
