The PlayStation Plus games lineup for March has been revealed, and it looks to be without a doubt the best lineup of games the service has offered this generation if not ever in the service's entirety.

Bloodborne and Ratchet & Clank highlight the March lineup, two of the most critically-acclaimed PlayStation 4 exclusives available right now.

Developed by the well-established Japanese studio From Software, Bloodborne is a brutal, blood-soaked and nightmarish RPG defined by its solid Souls-like combat, rich lore and art direction. In Bloodborne, you are placed in the shoes of an unknown outsider that arrives in the accursed town of Yharnam in search of a uncovering a special form of healing, fighting the creatures that haunt the town standing in your path.

Ratchet & Clank is a PS4 reimagining from Insomniac Games of their original PS2 platforming classic, remade and retold from the ground up. Filled with an explosive arsenal of weapons and some of the most jaw-dropping visuals on console, 2016's Ratchet & Clank tries to combine 14 years of Ratchet & Clank moments into one updated package. The reimagining contains new and fan-favourite locations from the original all fully-remade in HD, as well as new collectibles, updated controls and weapons from throughout the series.

The full list of March 2018's PlayStation Plus Lineup are:

  • Bloodborne (PS4)
  • Ratchet & Clank (PS4)
  • Legend of Kay Anniversary (PS3)
  • Mighty No. 9 (PS3/PS4)
  • Claire: Extended Cut (Vita/PS4)
  • Bombing Busters (Vita/PS4)

In addition, over on the PlayStation Blog it was announced that as of 8th March 2019, the PlayStation Plus monthly games line-up will shift its focus to only PS4 titles and no longer include PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita titles. These changes do not affect any of the PS3 and Vita games downloaded from the service, nor will it affect cloud saves or other PS Plus benefits.

While this might sound like bad news to the few and a sign of the times for legacy hardware, this is great news for everyone, as it will mean higher quality titles like Bloodborne and Ratchet & Clank will be available on the service. Though changes to the PS4 titles have not been announced, we can only speculate that PS4 owners will get three PS4 titles a month going forward after March 2019, with perhaps a PlayStation VR game added as a fourth.
