Need for Speed Heat March Update Adds Two New Cars, New Events and Vanity Items
UPDATE: The two new vehicles have been revealed: The McLaren F1 (1993) and Aston Martin Volante (2018).
Each car comes with their own sets of challenges provided by Raziel, a charismatic figure with deep connections in the Palm City street racing scene. Complete the challenges to get exclusive rewards, including visual customization parts for your new rides, character outfits, and other effects fitting for the themes of the cars.
The Aston Martin DB11 Volante is a free car and can be acquired via the Black Market Delivery at REP 20, while the McLaren F1 is a real-world paid purchase costing $4.99 and can be acquired at REP 30.
After months of waiting, Need for Speed Heat is finally adding some new content to the game, with two new cars, a new progression path, new events, vanity items and a bunch of new Quality of Life Improvements.
Here’s the rundown on the Need for Speed Heat March Update:
The Black Market Delivery
Introducing: The Black Market. With the release of the March Update, Raziel - am underground car dealer who’s in the business for both the money and the thrills - arrives in Palm City, and will be your source of contact on acquiring brand-new vehicles.
In the March update, two brand new cars are coming to the game: One being an all new car available as a real money purchase, the other as a variant of an existing car available for free. Head down to Port Murphy and pick them up from a shipping container, opening up a new progression path as you complete favours for Raziel to earn some rewards.
Completing these challenges will unlock new visual customization parts for the new imports, character outfits, and vanity items that fit the theme of the new cars. New events will also be unlocked as you do these challenges, which can be replayed after completing the Black Market Challenges.
In order to obtain cars via the Black Market Delivery, you must be a certain REP level before you can pick them up. The free car becomes available at REP 20, while the paid car can be picked up at REP Level 30.
Quality of Life Improvements
Several new quality of life improvements are coming with the March Update, including:
Improved Part menus: When you’re receiving a new part in the garage, it’s now easier to spot. We removed the feed that showed your new items on the right side of the screen. Instead, there’s now a yellow banner saying “new” next to the category and the item.
New Race Animations: We added more variation to race intros during both day and night races, as well as more victory celebration animations to enjoy when crossing the finish line.
New Vanity Items: Additional vanity items are introduced. You will be able to customize the color of the Backfire, and through the Black Market, you can also unlock Beat Sync underglows that will sync up with the in-game music.
Adjustable Camera Shake Settings
And thats everything coming in the March update! It might seem small, but there looks to be a good couple of extra hours of content coming. By the sounds of it, the Black Market could be set up to introduce new cars on a more frequent basis, such as the leaked KS cars previously found in the files.
