Need for Speed Celebrates 24th Anniversary With Exclusive Birthday Items
Next week marks the 24th anniversary of the Need for Speed series on August 31st, and to celebrate, Ghost are hosting a week long celebration event on Need for Speed Payback with a slew of exclusive birthday gifts and bonuses.
Announced via the latest Under The Hood blogpost, certain days leading up to the anniversary on the 31st will feature special daily bonuses, with a brand new weekly Abandoned Car and a special vanity item for logging in.
On August 28th, a Double REP bonus will be available for 24 hours alongside the release of an iconic Need for Speed ride as this weeks Abandoned Car - Rachel's Nissan 350z from Need for Speed Underground 2. After Double REP has finished, Double Cash will be available for 24 hours on August 29th.
From August 31st to September 3rd, if you log in and play Need for Speed Payback between those days, you'll receive special Firework Animated Underglow vanity item. On August 31st, logging in that day will reward you with five Premium Shipments.
We've known for some time Rachel's 350z will be added as it was found by dataminers in the latest update alongside 15 other new Abandoned Cars coming to Need for Speed Payback over the next several weeks and months.
