Forza Horizon 4 vs Forza Horizon 3 - Map Size and Graphics Comparison
One of the most common things when a new open-world game launches is to compare the size of its map to its predecessors, and since the reveal of Forza Horizon 4, many have wondered how big the map will compare to Forza Horizon 3’s.
Playground Games have gone on record to say that the map of Britain in Horizon 4 will match that of Horizon 3’s recreation of Australia, which was something many found disappointing, but is it really the same size?
BlackPanthaa decided to put this to the test, and came to a pretty interesting conclusion. During his tests, he discovered that Horizon 4’s map is infact smaller than Horizon 3’s, and not just by a small amount. It supposedly takes almost double the time to traverse the world of Horizon 3 compared to Horizon 4.

It’s worth baring in mind that while Forza Horizon 4’s map is seemingly smaller, four different versions of the map have been created for their innovative new ‘Seasons’ feature, which rotates the map between all four seasons, changing up how races play out and giving access to hidden areas only accessible during certain seasons.
Forza Horizon 4 releases on Xbox One and Windows 10 on October 2nd 2018, or September 28th 2018 for Ultimate Edition purchasers, and will be available free for Xbox Game Pass subscribers at launch.
