Forza Horizon 4 Pre-Load Is Available Now, Download Size Revealed
Forza Horizon 4 went gold last week, and for those who have pre-ordered Forza Horizon 4 digitally via Xbox One or Windows 10, you can now pre-load the game ten days prior to its September 28th early access release date (and 14 days prior to its global launch) .
Typically most games allow you to pre-load them two days in advance, so to see Forza Horizon 4 allow two weeks in advance is quite the surprise, though this could be to the game’s large file size that it requires on your console or PC.
Forza Horizon 4’s file size weighs in at 56.09 GB on Xbox One S and 60.19 GB on Xbox One X, with the PC version weighing in at 63.70 GB. The difference in sizes are most likely due to a 4K texture pack for Xbox One X and PC owners.
Interestingly enough, this makes Forza Horizon 4 the largest Horizon game to date with previous games ranging around 40-45 GB. Forza Horizon 3 after all post-launch content updates including two map expansions and a Xbox One X enhanced patch, sits at 63 GB, and no doubt will Horizon 4 surpass that.
Forza Horizon 4 releases on Xbox One and Windows 10 on October 2nd 2018, or September 28th 2018 for Ultimate Edition purchasers, and will be available free for Xbox Game Pass subscribers at launch.
