Forza Horizon 4 Is Seemingly Getting a Cyberpunk 2077 Crossover
Update: Playground Games have slyly teased the reveal of the Cyberpunk 2077 crossover on Twitter, replying to their original tease telling fans to tune into The Game Awards this week suggesting a reveal and release during the show.
The Game Awards will be streaming live on YouTube, Twitch and various other platforms starting later today at 3:30pm PT/6:30pm ET/11:30pm GMT.
Funnily enough, the car is actually playable right now in Forza Horizon 4’s new Super7 mode. Thanks to CROWNED, who’s already showcased the Cyberpunk vehicle in screenshots, using the Share Code ’242 231 884’ will unlock the challenge using the car.
Original Story: With the release of Cyberpunk 2077 right around the corner (literally under 24 hours away at the time of writing), it seems the latest content update for Forza Horizon 4 has leaked a crossover event to celebrate the launch of CD Projekt Red’s highly-anticipated open world RPG.
Earlier today, Forza Horizon 4’s Series 30 update dropped adding a host of new content, with the most notable being an all-new Stunt Creator mode known as Super7, which allows players to create and share their own personalized stunt modes.
However, fans have discovered in the Search settings that the “Quadra V-Tech” can be now be found in the filter settings when filtering via car model. For those unaware, the Quadra V-Tech is the name of the vehicle protagonist V drive’s in Cyberpunk 2077, which has been showcased in various marketing material and the original E3 2018 reveal trailer.
Playground Games have seemingly confirmed this too, with the official Forza Horizon twitter account quote-retweeting a fan’s discovery of the Quadra V-Tech, adding more fuel to the cyber fire.
Replies to the tweet even suggest the model of the vehicle is already in-game and can be found driving around the Edinburgh area of Forza Horizon 4’s map.
While this does come as a surprise, this isn’t the first time Forza has featured a crossover with another title. Most notably being the Halo showcase events featuring the Warthog, as well as the Regalia from Final Fantasy XV.
CD Projekt Red have had a big partnership with Microsoft when it comes to Cyberpunk 2077’s marketing, with the title’s re-reveal debuting on Microsoft’s stage at E3 2018, so another potential crossover in Forza Horizon 4 makes sense.
What we can expect from this Forza Horizon 4 x Cyberpunk 2077 crossover is uncertain, however besides the addition of V’s Quadra V-Tech, it’s likely we could receive Cyberpunk themed character outfits and a new Cyberpunk themed Showcase event to go along with it.
Cyberpunk 2077 launches December 10th for PS4, Xbox One and PC, so no doubt we can expect the Quadra V-Tech to be added to Forza Horizon 4 in the next few days.
Be sure to stay tuned for all future Forza related news, rumours and announcements.
