Report: Forza Horizon 4 Expansion 2 Will Be a LEGO Partnership
With E3 2019 coming up next week, many Forza fans are eager for a glimpse at the next Expansion for Forza Horizon 4 which has been long in development, and it appears from a report by Xboxygen that this upcoming expansion will infact be LEGO themed.
With previous rumours suggesting this expansion might be Japan themed, which we debunked, French magazine Xboxygen reports that Forza have partnered with LEGO for its next expansion and that it will be revealed “shortly”, suggesting it could have some presence at Microsoft’s E3 Press Conference.
Here’s a rough translation of the key information provided by Xboxygen:
“While Playground Games is scheduled to announce the next Forza Horizon 4 DLC shortly, Xboxygen is able to announce that it will be a new partnership, but this time with the LEGO license. This is not the first time that the Forza Horizon series will venture with a great brand since if you remember well, Forza Horizon 3 had released a Hot Wheels DLC.
According to our information, Forza Horizon 4 will welcome the LEGO universe in a future content, and it is in all likelihood the next expected DLC for the coming weeks. As with Hot Wheels, the tracks of the game will be clearly identifiable with LEGO look and feel, with a universe made up of coloured bricks, as you would expect.
We do not know if it will be possible to drive with cars in LEGO, or even if we can build.”
This also seems to back up claims made by Windows Central’s Senior Editor Jez Cordon, who mentioned in his Xbox E3 2019 predictions that Forza Horizon 4’s second expansion will be a brand deal in similar vein as Forza Horizon 3’s Hot Wheels DLC.
What this Expansion would be like is unsure, as the Hot Wheels Expansion featured special Hot Wheels themed vehicles iconic to the brand and I’m not sure if a LEGO car would quite suit the world of Horizon
This should be a very interesting E3 for Forza fans if true, with no new Forza game releasing in 2019 but rumours suggesting we may get a glimpse of the next Forza Motorsport game running on the next-gen Xbox instead.
Would you play a LEGO themed Forza Expansion, and what do you expect it too look like if true? We’ll be sure to keep you updated with the latest Forza related news next week coming out of E3 2019!
