Far Cry 3 Classic Edition Release Date Revealed
Last month, Ubisoft revealed details about Far Cry 5's Season Pass content as well as announced that a port of the critically-acclaimed Far Cry 3 will be coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One owners this summer.
One of the biggest bonuses for Far Cry 5's Season Pass/Gold Edition owners was not only the inclusion of three Far Cry Blood Dragon-esque expansions (Hours of Darkness, Dead Living Zombies and Life On Mars), but that Far Cry 3: Classic Edition will also be available as a part of its season pass offerings.
Ubisoft have revealed today over on the Ubisoft Forums that Far Cry 3 Classic Edition will be launching on May 29th for Far Cry 5 Season Pass owners, and releasing as a standalone purchase four weeks later on June 26th.
Far Cry 5 launched earlier this week with series now moving to good old 'Merica Land in the fictional town of Hope County - filled with beautiful vistas, abusive rednecks and explosions galore. While I'm personally enjoying the hell out of Far Cry 5 so far (and will be jumping straight back into it after writing this article), the idea of returning to Rook Island again this May has me extremely excited.
What are your thoughts on all this? Have you played Far Cry 5 yet and picked up the Season Pass/ Gold Edition in anticipation of Far Cry 3 Classic Edition, or will you be waiting the extra four weeks just for Far Cry 3 Classic and aren't bothered about Far Cry 5 or its DLC? Let us know down below!
