RUMOUR: Codemasters Cheshire to Become Support Studio for Need for Speed 2022
Codemasters Chesire, the developer behind DIRT 5, ONRUSH and formerly known as Evolution Studios, are said to become a support studio assisting development on the next Need for Speed title, according to the well-known industry insider Tom Henderson.
Henderson has an incredibly accurate track record in the past, especially when it comes to things related to EA, Battlefield, and Call of Duty, so we have reason to believe this could be true. At this time, EA has not made anything official regarding Codemasters Cheshire or the next Need for Speed title.
Interestingly, back in October we reported that Codemasters Cheshire was hiring for what was being described as Codemasters’ “Biggest and Most Ambitious Game In Over A Decade”. It’s unclear if this is a separate project, or if this could have been for Need for Speed 2022.
