Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy Gets Free DLC Pack
For those with a keen eye over the past few weeks, you may have noticed that in the trophy list for the original Crash Bandicoot is a set of two hidden trophies known as "Crash Bandicoot: Lost Treasures". Many in the community speculated that the two trophies would be for the levels that were originally cut from the PSOne Classic twenty one years ago.
Today during a panel at San Diego Comic Con, Activision revealed that the infamous Stormy Ascent, which was cut from the original game for its difficulty, is available right now from the PlayStation Store to download. The Stormy Ascent Level Pack will be free for the next 30 days as a 'Thank You' from Activision and Vicarious Visions for the continued success of N. Sane Trilogy over the past three weeks.
“The fan response to Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy has been tremendous with the title landing at number one worldwide in physical game sales, even though it was only on shelves for two days in June. We’re thrilled that there seems to be a whole lot of people out there who love Crash as much we do,” said Eric Hirshberg, CEO of Activision. “To thank Crash fans, we’re excited to release Stormy Ascent, the infamous unfinished level from the original game for the very first time. And it’s free to fans for the first month. We look forward to watching some epic speed runs online!”
However after August 19th, the level pack will be paid for and cost $2.99 in the US, so be sure to download it as soon as possible! As there were many levels cut from the original game, would you like to see any more levels return with updated visuals and trophies, or like most people do you want the seemingly inevitable Crash Team Racing Remaster?
